We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Fleet Manager to oversee the efficient operation and management of our vehicle fleet. Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the vehicle fleet, including scheduling maintenance and repairs to maximize uptime.
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to track vehicle locations, monitor fuel consumption, and analyze fleet data for efficiency improvements.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely delivery and pickup of goods while maintaining accurate data entry records.
- Oversee compliance with safety regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies related to fleet operations.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to streamline supply chain processes and optimize transportation routes.
- Maintain detailed records using systems such as AS400 and SyteLine for inventory control, shipping documentation, and fleet management reports.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, vendors, and internal teams via phone etiquette and clear messaging to resolve issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in transportation management systems (TMS), logistics, or fleet operations.
- Strong analysis skills to interpret data from various sources like AS400, SyteLine, or other ERP platforms.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly across diverse teams.
- Proficiency in data entry, shipping & receiving procedures, and maintaining accurate records.
- Familiarity with supply chain concepts, 3PL partnerships, and shipping regulations.
- Ability to multitask efficiently while demonstrating strong attention to detail through typing speed and accuracy.
- Knowledge of phone etiquette for professional communication with vendors, drivers, and internal stakeholders.
