Role and Responsibilities:
As a Support Worker, you will:
- Provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their homes or community settings.
- Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Promote independence and support individuals to achieve their personal goals.
- Maintain accurate records and reports.
- Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Support Worker Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar care/support role is desirable but not essential.
- A compassionate and caring nature.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required.
- A valid driving license and access to a vehicle is desirable but not essential
About the People We Support
You will be supporting two males with different support needs:
One gentleman is 26 years old, autistic and may display behaviours that challenge. He enjoys having an active social life, going for walks, watching football and going out for meals.
The second gentleman is 63 years old, has bipolar disorder and a moderate learning disability.
The role will involve providing person-centred support, including support with medication, managing and responding to behaviours that challenge, and supporting individuals to enjoy meaningful activities and maintain their independence.
PBM knowledge desired - Full PBM training will be received.
You will play an important role in helping the people we support lead active, fulfilling lives and access the community
Shift Timings.
Weekend working included.
9am - 7pm
7am-7pm
9am-11pm
Sleep in - 11pm - 7am
