Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Evening Laundry Team Leader to oversee the laundry operations during evening shifts at our super busy processing unit at SO31 1BD. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, leadership qualities, be hands on & enjoy laundry!!!!
Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays 4pm - 9.15pm.
This role involves supervising a small laundry team, ensuring efficient processing of garments, linen and laundry items, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality at all times.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the laundry team during evening shifts.
- Ensure all laundry tasks are completed efficiently, accurately to company standards, and within designated timeframes.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and safety within the laundry areas.
- Train new team members on laundry procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
- Conduct quality checks on laundered items to ensure they meet established standards.
- Address any operational issues promptly and escalate concerns to management when required.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Closure of the unit at the end of shift.
Requirements
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a small team effectively.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods, in a busy environment.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A proactive attitude with a focus on delivering excellent guest service standards.
Pay: £14.00 per hour
