Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Supporting clients with mobility and transfers
- Preparing nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Administering medication in accordance with prescribed instructions and protocols
- Engaging clients in social activities and behavioural management strategies to promote wellbeing
- Providing emotional support and companionship to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Assisting with household chores and maintaining a clean, safe environment
- Driving clients to appointments or outings as required (driving skills preferred)
- Responding promptly to emergencies using first aid skills when necessary
- Documenting care provided accurately and reporting any changes in condition to supervising staff
Skills
- Strong caregiving abilities with a compassionate approach towards clients of all ages
- Ability to manage challenging behaviours with patience and understanding
- Excellent organisational skills for meal preparation and routine tasks
- Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility needs
- Valid full driving licence
