OUR OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a full time Creative Garden Maintenance Technician to join a growing team based in Longstanton, working in and around Cambridge. You will take responsibility for regular client maintenance visits, taking care of and managing their designed gardens while working to ensure consistently high standards in line with our Company ethics.
Other key tasks and responsibilities of the successful Garden Maintenance Technician include:
- Garden maintenance with varying tasks according to the season and in line with an agreed plan;
- Pre-planning jobs for each garden and keeping accurate records;
- Taking responsibility for general upkeep of equipment, company van, storage units, etc;
- Assisting with knowledge and skills transfer, overseeing and monitoring progress for a trainee member of staff as you become experienced.
This is a busy role which requires you to stay focussed on the task in hand, using your initiative to identify and resolve problems and working to an extremely high standard of maintenance in a designed garden, while delivering excellent customer service and overall attention to detail.

If you are passionate about being outdoors and maintaining gardens to a high standard we are happy to consider you joining us as a trainee, even if you are not very experienced. We would train you in the first year and expect you to train new recruits in the second year.
However if you have experience in a similar role in general garden maintenance you are also welcome to apply. Desirable qualifications include RHS levels 1 and 2, PA 1 and 6 spraying certificates, trailer licence and experience with hedge cutters & strimmers.
Experience working outdoors is preferred.
REWARDS
- £12.71 - £14 per hour for 21+, depending on experience/ability to drive.
- £10.85 per hour for 18-20 year olds.
- £8 per hour for 16-17 year olds.
- 28 days leave pa with an extra day's leave for every 5 years' service.
