We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer with strong knowledge of lithium battery systems, including Li-ion and LiFePO₄/LFP battery packs, BMS, chargers, power electronics, and battery applications.
The role is a mix of technical understanding and commercial sales. The person must be able to speak confidently with customers, understand their technical requirements, recommend the right battery solution, prepare quotations, and help close sales.
This is not just a desk sales role. The candidate must be comfortable dealing with engineers, procurement teams, distributors, OEMs, and end-users.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
- Identify and approach new customers for lithium battery products.
- Develop sales opportunities across sectors such as:
- Energy storage
- Mobility
- Marine
- Golf carts
- Industrial equipment
- Robotics
- UPS / backup power
- Telecoms
- Defence and specialist applications
- Build and maintain relationships with OEMs, distributors, and large commercial customers.
- Follow up leads, manage the sales pipeline, and convert enquiries into orders.
- Prepare commercial offers, quotations, and proposals.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Attend customer meetings, exhibitions, and site visits where required.
Technical Responsibilities
- Understand customer battery requirements, including:
- Voltage
- Capacity
- Discharge current
- Charge current
- Cycle life
- Size and weight limits
- Communication protocols
- Safety requirements
- Environmental conditions
- Recommend suitable lithium battery solutions based on customer needs.
- Work with engineering teams to develop custom battery pack solutions.
- Explain BMS functions, safety features, cell chemistry, charging requirements, and battery integration.
- Support customers with technical questions before and after sale.
- Review datasheets, specifications, and customer technical documents.
- Help prepare technical documentation, product comparisons, and application notes.
- Feed customer requirements back to the product and engineering teams.
Required Experience
The candidate should have experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Lithium battery sales
- Battery pack design or integration
- Electrical engineering sales
- Power electronics
- EV, ESS, telecom power, marine power, or industrial battery systems
- Technical sales of electrical or electronic products
Experience selling to OEMs or industrial customers is strongly preferred.
Required Technical Knowledge
The candidate should understand:
- Lithium-ion and LiFePO₄ battery technology
- Battery packs, cells, modules, and BMS
- Voltage, Ah, kWh, C-rate, charge/discharge rates
- Battery safety and protection systems
- Chargers and charging profiles
- CAN, RS485, Bluetooth, UART or similar communication protocols
- Basic electrical calculations
- Battery applications in industrial, commercial, and mobility sectors

- Strong industry experience can replace formal qualifications.
