White Elm Petting Farm in Bicknacre, Chelmsford are looking for a full time Farm Assistant. The role is for Sundays, Mondays, Thursday and Fridays (approx. 8am to 4pm). plus potential for extra shift cover.
This role is a physical role and will involve everyday tasks such as feeding, mucking out and caring of the animals aswell as the general maintenance of the farm such as grass cutting, strimming, etc.
This candidate will also be expected to spend a large amount of the day helping customers to interact and get close to our animals. The role will include providing farm tours and talks for children’s parties.
The individual should have at least 2 years practical experience of working with animals (including the ability to treat animals to prevent disease) and be happy to get stuck in to the job in all weather conditions.
