Youth Worker (Part-Time) – Callington Youth Project Group
Location: Callington, Cornwall
Hours: 20 hours per week (including evening youth sessions)

About Us
Callington Youth Project Group is a community-based organisation dedicated to supporting and inspiring young people aged 13–21. We provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where young people can build confidence, develop life skills, and form positive relationships.
The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and motivated Youth Worker to join our team for 20 hours per week. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of local young people.
The role combines direct youth work with essential administrative responsibilities to support the smooth running of the project.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, organise, and deliver engaging youth sessions for young people aged 13–21.
* Build positive, supportive relationships with young people and encourage their personal development.
* Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment.
* Support young people with activities, projects, and opportunities that promote confidence, wellbeing, and independence.
* Maintain accurate records, attendance registers, and session reports.
* Complete general administration, including communications, monitoring, and preparing resources.
* Work with colleagues, volunteers, families, and partner organisations where appropriate.
* Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and organisational policies at all times.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
* Has experience working with young people (paid or voluntary).
* Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Is organised and able to manage both practical youth work and administrative tasks.
* Is enthusiastic, approachable, and committed to supporting young people.
* Can work independently and as part of a team.
* Understands safeguarding responsibilities and professional boundaries.
* Has a:
* JNC youth work qualification.
* First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain one).
* Full UK driving licence and access to transport (desirable but not essential).
