Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Baby Room Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants and young children. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills whilst supporting children's developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. The ideal applicant will have experience working with children, particularly within nursery settings, and possess excellent communication skills in English. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of infants.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in your care at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, routines, and any concerns to support ongoing development.
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages children’s curiosity and independence.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure consistent care and communication.
- Manage daily routines including feeding, nappy changing, sleep schedules, and playtime activities.
- Lead by example in demonstrating excellent childcare practices and organisational skills.
- Support the professional development of team members through mentorship and guidance where appropriate.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting; early childhood education qualifications are preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of childcare regulations, health & safety standards, and safeguarding procedures.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude towards infants.
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Commitment to continuous professional development in early childhood education practices.
- Must hold a level 2 or 3 certificate in childcare

Pay: £12.71-£13.21 per hour
