We're looking for a passionate and hardworking Neighbourhood Gardener to help keep our estates and neighbourhoods looking their best. Reporting to the Neighbourhood Services Manager (Gardening), you'll play a vital role in creating attractive, safe, and welcoming outdoor spaces that our customers are proud to call home.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in high standards, and understands the value that well-maintained green spaces bring to local communities.
Location: the role covers Ipswich/Colchester and surrounding areas
Hours: Full Time - 37 hpw - Monday to Thursday 08:00-16:00, Friday 08:00-15:30
Contract: Permanent + Company Van
No two days are quite the same, but your responsibilities will include:
carrying out grounds maintenance tasks across our neighbourhoods.
operating a range of equipment, including strimmers, ride-on mowers and hedge cutters.
litter picking and helping keep communal outdoor areas clean and attractive.
undertaking spraying activities where appropriate.
maintaining equipment and ensuring all health and safety requirements are followed.
working efficiently to deliver excellent value and customer service.
supporting a positive team culture and contributing to the success of the wider service.
You'll be someone who:
has experience within the horticultural or grounds maintenance industry.
is confident using gardening and grounds maintenance equipment.
holds a full UK driving licence.
has strong communication and problem-solving skills.
has basic digital skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
takes a proactive approach and enjoys working as part of a team.
cares about delivering high standards and making a difference to customers.
