We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Facilities Technician to support the maintenance, safety and day-to-day operation of a busy educational environment. This is a varied role where you will be responsible for ensuring buildings, grounds and facilities are safe, compliant, well-maintained and fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out day-to-day maintenance, repairs and minor refurbishment works.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure the premises remain safe, compliant and well-maintained.
- Coordinate contractors and monitor the delivery of on-site services.
- Support health & safety compliance, risk assessments and statutory inspections.
- Monitor fire safety, security systems and respond to site issues as required.
- Act as a key holder, assisting with site opening, closing and security procedures.
- Maintain maintenance records, compliance documentation and inventory logs.
- Obtain quotations, order materials and support contractor procurement.
- Use facilities management systems to track repairs, jobs and compliance activities.
About You
- Experience carrying out building maintenance or facilities-related duties.
- Good understanding of health & safety and statutory compliance
- Knowledge of building services, security and fire safety procedures.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence.
