About the Role
We are seeking an accurate and organised Records Data Entry Clerk to enter information, update document records, process scanned files, and support daily records-management activities.
You will review documents, input information into company systems, check records for errors, and ensure that files are correctly named, classified, and stored.
Previous data-entry or records experience is helpful but not essential. Training on company systems, document procedures, confidentiality requirements, and records-management standards will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
- Enter information from documents into company databases
- Create and update physical and digital records
- Review data for missing, incomplete, or incorrect information
- Scan, name, classify, and upload documents
- Organise electronic files using established filing procedures
- Index documents using reference numbers and approved categories
- Update customer, client, and document records
- Compare entered information against source documents
- Correct basic data errors following approved procedures
- Prepare records for storage, retrieval, or archiving
- Maintain document tracking spreadsheets and activity logs
- Process routine requests for records and information
- Retrieve documents for authorised team members
- Report duplicate, damaged, or incomplete records
- Handle confidential information securely
- Support routine mail and document-processing activities
- Follow company data-protection and records-management procedures
- Assist with general administrative duties when required
What We Are Looking For
Experience
- Previous experience in data entry, administration, customer service, retail, document handling, or office support is helpful but not essential
- Applications from school leavers, career starters, and candidates changing industries are welcome
- Records-management or document-scanning experience is beneficial but not required
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good keyboard and computer skills
- Comfortable using email, Microsoft Word, and spreadsheets
- Ability to enter information accurately and consistently

Education
- GCSEs or equivalent qualifications are preferred
- A university degree is not required
- Relevant administrative, practical, volunteer, or customer-service experience will be considered
Pay: £26,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
