HR Manager - FMCG | High Wycombe
Location: Within approximately 1 hour of High Wycombe
Salary: Exceptional package including basic salary between £50-55,000 + up to 10% company bonus, life assurance, employee assistance programme & partial hybrid working options.
The Opportunity
We're working with a well-established FMCG organisation that represents some of the most widely recognised and respected brands within its industry.
The business is looking to appoint a HR Manager who will take ownership of the full HR function, working closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders across the organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an established HR professional who is ready to take the next step in their career, or someone already operating at HR Manager level and looking for a broader role with significant responsibility and influence.
The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive HR service across the business, acting as a trusted advisor to managers and senior stakeholders. Working from Head Office in High Wycombe 4 x per week with the option to work from home 1 day per week.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Taking ownership of the full HR function across the business
- Partnering closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders to provide commercially focused HR advice
- Supporting and coaching managers on employee relations, performance management and people matters
- Managing the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to development and exit
- Advising on employment legislation, policies and best practice
- Supporting organisational change, restructuring and wider people initiatives where required
- Developing and implementing HR policies and processes
- Supporting employee engagement, retention and development initiatives
- Working with leaders to identify people-related challenges and develop practical solutions
- Managing HR data, reporting and people metrics to support business decision-making
- Ensuring the organisation remains compliant with employment legislation and internal policies
- Contributing to the ongoing development of the company's people strategy
Requirements
We're particularly interested in candidates who are CIPD qualified to Level 5 minimum, with Level 7 preferred.
You could already be working as an HR Manager, HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor with broad generalist experience.
Alternatively, this could be an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who feels ready for their first HR Manager position and has the capability and confidence to take full ownership of the function.
You'll ideally have:
- CIPD Level 5 qualification as a minimum; Level 7 is highly desirable
- Strong generalist HR experience across the employee lifecycle
- Solid employee relations and employment law knowledge
- Experience advising and influencing senior managers and stakeholders
- The confidence to operate independently and take ownership of HR activity
- Strong communication, influencing and relationship-building skills
- A commercially minded approach to HR
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with being comfortable getting involved in the detail
