Pink Sage Coffee House are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Barista/Café Team Member. As a Barista/Café Team Member, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring that our café operates smoothly. Duties
- Serving hot and cold drinks
- Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to during food preparation and serving
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods
- Handle cash transactions accurately using basic math skills
Requirements
- Previous restaurant or café experience is preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills is advantageous
- Understanding of food safety practices is essential
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and colleagues
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment
