Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, highly qualified, and child‑centred Registered Manager to lead and oversee multiple children’s residential care settings across West London. This role requires a dynamic leader who can ensure each home operates in full compliance with Ofsted regulations, the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, and the Quality Standards. You will drive a culture of safety, stability, and continuous improvement, ensuring children receive nurturing, developmentally enriching care across all locations.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Multi‑Site Management
- Provide strong, visible leadership across multiple homes, ensuring consistent standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee daily operations at each site, requiring regular travel between locations; own transport is essential.
- Ensure each home’s Statement of Purpose is up to date, reflective of practice, and aligned with Ofsted expectations.
- Promote a culture where children feel safe, listened to, and supported.
Safeguarding & Compliance
- Champion a robust safeguarding culture across all settings, ensuring staff follow safer working practices and reporting procedures.
- Ensure compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, health & safety legislation, and local authority requirements.
- Maintain high‑quality records that meet Ofsted expectations for accuracy, clarity, and accountability.
Care Planning & Child Development
- Lead the development and review of personalised care plans that reflect each child’s needs, wishes, feelings, and developmental goals.
- Ensure children’s progress is monitored and shared appropriately with families, social workers, and external professionals.
- Promote positive outcomes through structured routines, education support, emotional well‑being strategies, and independence‑building activities.
Staff Management & Development
- Recruit, train, supervise, and appraise staff across multiple sites to maintain a skilled, reflective, and resilient workforce.
- Ensure all staff receive mandatory training, including safeguarding, behaviour support, trauma‑informed practice, and child development.
- Facilitate reflective practice sessions and continuous professional development to uphold high standards of care.
Partnership Working
- Build strong relationships with families, local authorities, schools, and external agencies.
- Represent the homes professionally during Ofsted inspections, local authority visits, and multi‑agency meetings.
- Provide clear, consistent communication with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress and well‑being.
Quality Assurance & Improvement
- Conduct regular audits across all sites to monitor quality of care, compliance, and staff performance.
- Implement improvement plans to address any shortfalls identified through internal reviews or Ofsted inspections.
- Ensure each home strives for outstanding outcomes for children.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (essential).
- Proven 3 years experience in children’s residential care or similar regulated environments.
- Strong leadership background with experience managing staff and operations, ideally across multiple locations.
- In‑depth knowledge of child development, trauma‑informed practice, and personalised care planning.
- Excellent understanding of safeguarding legislation, Ofsted inspection frameworks, and regulatory compliance.
- Access to own transport and ability to travel between multiple homes across West London.
- Passionate about delivering high‑quality, child‑focused care that promotes safety, stability, and positive outcomes.
Pay: £20.00-£22.00 per hour
