Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Front of House Staff to join our vibrant team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while ensuring smooth operations within the restaurant. As a member of our Front of House team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, creating a fantastic atmosphere for our guests, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
Our restaurant currently holds 3AA rosettes and we strive to offer a professional yet friendly service to all our guests. Experience in a similar level setting is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided. Currently recruiting for both waiting staff & commis waiters (runners).
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, demonstrating strong upselling skills to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, ensuring tables are set and ready for incoming guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any guest needs promptly.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, employing basic maths skills for billing purposes.
- Provide assistance to guests with any inquiries or special requests, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism.
- Support the team in maintaining a high level of hospitality throughout the restaurant.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy periods.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and a commitment to maintaining hygiene standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well within a team.
- A passion for culinary arts and providing outstanding customer service.
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and processing orders accurately.
- A proactive attitude towards helping others and contributing to a positive work environment.
