We are seeking an experienced Compliance & Governance Manager to lead our governance, compliance and quality assurance framework across multiple care home services.
This is a high-impact role for a quality-focused professional who is passionate about improving standards, strengthening assurance and ensuring services consistently deliver safe, effective and compassionate care.
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will provide expert oversight and challenge across our services, ensuring regulatory readiness, effective risk management and continuous improvement are embedded into everyday practice. You will work closely with Registered Managers and senior leaders to identify risks, close compliance gaps and deliver measurable improvements.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the organisation’s governance and compliance framework across all services.
- Ensure compliance with RQIA requirements, Nursing Homes Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2005, DoH/PHA guidance, NICE guidance and professional standards.
- Develop and oversee audit, risk management and quality improvement programmes.
- Analyse incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns and quality data to identify trends and drive improvement.
- Support regulatory inspections and monitoring visits, ensuring effective action plans are implemented and sustained.
- Provide clear governance reporting, dashboards and assurance to senior leadership.
About you:
You will be a quality-focused healthcare professional with:
- Current NMC registration.
- Significant experience in governance, compliance, quality improvement or management within health or social care.
- A proven track record of delivering measurable improvements and closing compliance gaps.
- Experience with audits, inspections, risk management, safeguarding and regulatory standards.
- The confidence to influence, challenge and support teams to improve practice.
