Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the childcare setting in accordance with Ofsted registration requirements.
- Ensure all policies and procedures are up-to-date, compliant, and effectively implemented across the service.
- Conduct regular quality assurance audits to monitor standards of care, safety, and educational provision.
- Support staff development through coaching, supervision, and training initiatives to uphold high-quality practice.
- Maintain comprehensive records related to children's progress, staff qualifications, health & safety checks, and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare for Ofsted inspections by ensuring readiness and demonstrating continuous improvement efforts.
- Foster strong relationships with children, parents, staff, and external agencies to promote a positive community environment.
Requirements
- Hold a valid Ofsted registration as a Manager or be eligible to register immediately upon appointment.
- Proven experience managing early years or childcare settings with a strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and inspection processes.
- Demonstrate excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Possess strong knowledge of quality assurance practices within early childhood education.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with staff, parents, children, and regulatory bodies.
- Ability to implement policies that promote safety, inclusion, and high standards of care.
- A relevant qualification in early childhood education or management (e.g., Level 3 or higher in childcare/education).
