RECRUITMENTiQ is working in partnership with a business within the agricultural manufacturing sector to assist in their search for an Engineering Supervisor in Aberdeenshire.
The experienced Engineering Supervisor will lead a skilled workshop team, ensuring specialist mobile milling machines are maintained to the highest standards and ready to deliver exceptional service to customers.

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day operation of our engineering workshop, planning and prioritising workloads while supporting your team to deliver high-quality maintenance, repairs, fabrication and welding on our mobile milling fleet.
You will play a key role in minimising downtime, driving workshop performance and ensuring our engineering operation continues to support the business efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop the engineering team, creating a positive and productive working environment.
- Plan, schedule and oversee workshop activities to maximise efficiency and minimise vehicle downtime.
- Ensure preventative maintenance programmes are completed on time.
- Support the team with fabrication, welding, servicing and repairs where required.
- Monitor workshop performance against maintenance KPIs.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using the Company's maintenance management software.
- Work closely with logistics, operations and other departments to ensure fleet availability.
- Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
- Ensure workshop documentation, labour records and cost information are completed accurately and submitted on time.
Requirements
About You
We are looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and strong leadership capability.
You will have:
- A formal engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication.
- Previous experience supervising or leading a team.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and perform well under pressure.
- A broad understanding of the agricultural industry.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
