Overview
We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Self Employed multi drop Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves managing your own schedule while ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to customers. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, experience in commercial driving, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting. As a self-employed professional, you will have the flexibility to operate independently while maintaining high standards of customer service.
Duties
- Safely operate a variety of delivery vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely drop-offs
- Load and unload goods, including heavy items, with proper handling techniques
- Communicate effectively with clients upon delivery, providing excellent customer service
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and mileage for invoicing purposes
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Ensure all deliveries are completed within designated timeframes and according to customer specifications
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving commercial driving
- Valid driver’s licence with no points
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and manoeuvring large or bulky items
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations is preferred
