We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Groomer to join our professional pet care team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals and possess the skills necessary to provide high-quality grooming services. The Dog Groomer will be responsible for ensuring each pet receives personalised grooming tailored to their breed, size, and individual needs.
Duties
- Bathing, drying, and brushing dogs of various breeds and sizes using appropriate techniques and products
- Trimming, clipping, and styling coats according to breed standards or customer preferences
- Cleaning ears, trimming nails, and expressing glands as required
- Providing gentle handling to ensure the comfort and safety of each animal during grooming procedures
- Maintaining a clean and organised grooming area, including sanitising tools and equipment after each use
- Communicating effectively with pet owners regarding grooming requirements, special needs, or behavioural considerations
- Assisting with animal care duties such as feeding or administering medication if necessary
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience in veterinary care or animal grooming is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of animal behaviour and handling techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with pet owners
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting of animals and equipment throughout the day
- Compassionate approach towards animals, ensuring their well-being at all times
- Organised with attention to detail to deliver consistent grooming standards
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: £24,420.00-£43,963.67 per year
