As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an Assistant Transaction Manager to support the performance of our sales and finance operations.
Job Overview
The Assistant Transaction Manager plays a key role in supporting the retail dealer stores' sales performance by managing finance and insurance (F&I) processes and working closely with the sales team to maximise profitability.
You will be responsible for structuring finance sales, promoting additional products, ensuring compliance, and delivering a smooth and professional customer journey from sale through to handover.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinance & Insurance (F&I)
- Maximise finance penetration and profitability across all vehicle sales
- Promote and sell finance, insurance, warranties, and add-on products
- Structure competitive and compliant finance packages
- Maintain strong relationships with lenders and finance providers
Customer Experience
- Ensure a smooth transition from sales to finance for customers
- Clearly explain finance options, terms, and products
- Maintain transparency throughout the sales process
- Support high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
Compliance & Regulation
- Ensure all sales meet FCA requirements and company policies
- Maintain accurate and audit-ready documentation
- Stay up to date with regulatory changes and best practice
Sales Team Support
- Work closely with the sales team to support deal progression and conversion
- Assist with daily enquiry management
- Provide guidance on sales structuring and profitability
- Support the development of sales staff in F&I processes
Performance & Reporting
- Monitor key KPIs including finance penetration, product sales, and margins
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management
- Identify opportunities to improve performance and efficiency
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an automotive Business Manager or F&I role
- Strong understanding of automotive finance products and processes
- Confident communication and negotiation skills
- Commercial awareness with a strong focus on results
- High level of attention to detail and organisation
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
Qualifications
- Full UK Driving Licence
- SAF accreditation (preferred)
- Good understanding of FCA regulations (essential)
