Job Summary
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, primarily using flatbed lorries, across various routes. Responsibilities
- Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, including flatbed lorries, in compliance with all legal and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-journey vehicle inspections and report any defects or issues
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries
- Secure cargo safely on flatbeds, ensuring compliance with weight limits and safety standards
- Deliver goods to designated locations, maintaining professionalism and excellent customer service
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs
- Adhere to driving hours regulations and maintain accurate records of working hours
- Assist with loading and unloading when required, following health and safety procedures
- Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the vehicle throughout shifts
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence with relevant driving experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles and delivery operations
- Knowledge of current driving regulations and safety standards within the UK
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Ability to work independently and responsibly in a professional manner
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
- Prior experience if working within the construction industry, preferably scaffolding sector is desirable
- Must be willing to help load and unload materials

Pay: £18.00-£25.00 per hour
