Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced bar staff member to join our team, with opportunities for growth and advancement. This is a unique role working across both our Brewery Taproom and the Royal Parade Pub, giving you the chance to be part of two different but closely connected venues.
The usual working pattern will be Friday to Sunday at the Brewery Taproom and Monday and Tuesday at Harrogate Brewing Co. Royal Parade (HG1 2SZ). However, flexibility is essential, as shifts and locations may vary depending on business needs, events, holidays, and staffing requirements.
We're seeking a dynamic individual with a positive attitude, previous experience, and a desire to grow within a supportive and ambitious team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Prepare and serve drinks accurately, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Assist with opening and closing duties at both venues as required.
- Ensure bar areas are clean, well-stocked, and organised.
- Supervise and support other bar staff when required.
- Support food service during busy periods and maintain strong knowledge of menu offerings.
- Recommend additional products, specials, and brewery beers to enhance guest experiences and increase sales.
- Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints professionally and effectively.
- Adapt to working across both venues, helping maintain high standards and consistency throughout the business.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in bar or hospitality service (preferred but not essential).
- Strong communication and multitasking skills.
- Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to work across both sites as needed.

Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
