We're an eight-surgery, fully private practice offering a wide range of treatments including : General Dentistry, Specialist Orthodontics, Periodontics, Dental Implants and Invisalign® our practice is equipped with the latest technology, including two iTero scanners and fully digital systems to support an exceptional patient journey.
The Opportunity
This is a genuine leadership role within a well-established and stable practice. You'll be joining a close-knit, experienced team with excellent support from our Head Nurse, Treatment Coordinator and clinicians.
The current Practice Manager or holding manager will work closely alongside you to ensure a thorough handover, giving you time to build relationships with the team, understand how the practice operates and settle into the role before taking full ownership.
We're not looking for someone to change everything. We're looking for someone who can build on what's already working, bring fresh ideas, inspire the team and continue driving the practice forward.
You'll have the opportunity to become involved in exciting projects including:
- Developing local marketing initiatives
- Managing digital lead generation and patient enquiries
- Improving patient conversion and treatment uptake
- Supporting practice growth through data and KPI analysis
- Driving innovation and continuous improvement
There will also be opportunities to attend leadership development programmes and collaborate with colleagues across the wider Envisage Dental network.
What You'll Be Doing
As Practice Manager you'll take responsibility for the overall performance of the practice, leading both the commercial and operational success of the business.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leadership
- Inspire, coach and develop a high-performing team.
- Create a positive, supportive and engaging working environment.
- Lead daily huddles, practice meetings and team communications.
- Support colleague development, succession planning and recruitment.
Business Performance
- Take ownership of practice performance and profitability.
- Monitor KPIs and develop action plans to achieve business goals.
- Analyse patient demand and diary utilisation.
- Lead monthly business reviews and budget planning.
- Manage payroll approvals and practice expenditure.
Patient Experience & Marketing
- Deliver an outstanding patient journey from enquiry through to treatment.
- Manage patient enquiries and follow up leads.
- Track marketing performance and lead conversion.
- Work with digital marketing partners while developing more local marketing activity.
- Support social media content and patient communications.
- Identify opportunities to grow the practice and attract new patients.
Operational Excellence
- Optimise clinician diaries and patient scheduling.
- Maintain compliance with CQC requirements and internal policies.
- Manage stock, equipment servicing and practice facilities.
- Resolve patient concerns professionally and efficiently.
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys leading people and wants to make a genuine difference.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience managing or leading a high-performing team in a similar environment
- Strong coaching and people development skills.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to interpret KPIs and business performance.
- Confidence using IT systems and digital platforms.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and embrace new ideas.
- A passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
Experience within dental practice management is advantageous, although we welcome applications from experienced leaders with transferable skills.
Working Pattern
This is a 36-hour position, with flexibility around the working pattern. The practice currently operates across a mixture of longer and shorter days, and we're happy to discuss flexibility to help find the right arrangement for the successful candidate.
The practice is conveniently located close to Chingford station with excellent transport links into London via the Victoria Line connection at Walthamstow. There is no onsite parking butthe team will be happy to share their parking knowledge of the local area
