Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Transport Administrator to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing transportation operations, ensuring efficient supply chain processes, and maintaining accurate data entry. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee transportation schedules using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and other logistics software.
- Manage shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods.
- Maintain accurate data entry related to shipments, inventory, and logistics documentation within systems such as AS400 and SyteLine.
- Liaise with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to optimise transportation routes and service levels.
- Analyse logistical data to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Prepare reports on transportation performance metrics for management review.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and carriers via phone and email, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Assist with supply chain coordination, including order processing, tracking shipments, and resolving any issues promptly.
- Support shipping & receiving functions by verifying deliveries against purchase orders and maintaining accurate records.
Skills
- Proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS), AS400, SyteLine or similar ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes and logistics operations.
- Experience working with third-party logistics providers (3PL).
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret data and optimise transportation activities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, including professional phone etiquette.
- Accurate data entry skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: £27,500.00-£30,000.00 per year
