Overview
We are seeking a professional and vigilant SIA Door Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to respond swiftly to various situations. This role is vital in maintaining a secure environment while providing a welcoming yet controlled atmosphere for all attendees. Candidates must hold valid SIA licensing and be committed to upholding high standards of security and customer service.
Duties
- Monitor entry and exit points to prevent unauthorised access
- Conduct thorough ID checks and manage guest list procedures
- Maintain a visible security presence to deter potential disturbances
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing suspicious behaviour
- Respond promptly to incidents, including conflicts or emergencies
- Carry out routine patrols of the venue or site to ensure safety protocols are followed
- Assist with first aid in case of medical emergencies until professional help arrives
- Record detailed incident reports accurately and promptly when required
- Enforce venue policies and procedures consistently and professionally
Skills
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence (required)
- Experience with surveillance systems such as CCTV is advantageous
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations diplomatically
- Good observational skills with attention to detail
- Basic first aid certification is desirable but not essential; training can be provided if necessary
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Organised, reliable, and able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or special events
