Office Administrator
Central Cylinders Limited is looking for a reliable, organised, and proactive Office Administrator to join our team. This is a varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy office environment and takes pride in providing accurate administrative, HR, and general office support.
Key Responsibilities
Office Administration & Accounts
- Raising and processing purchase orders (POs)
- Preparing and issuing customer invoices
- Ordering stock, materials, and office supplies
- Maintaining accurate records and filing systems
- Answering telephone calls and dealing with customer enquiries
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the office
- Liaising with suppliers and customers
- Assisting with general administrative duties as required
- Using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook, to maintain records and correspondence
HR & Employee Administration
- Supporting the recruitment and onboarding process for new employees
- Preparing new starter documentation and assisting with right-to-work checks
- Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records
- Managing sickness, and absence records
- Assisting with payroll administration and providing accurate employee information and timesheets
- Supporting the administration of staff training and development
- Assisting with employee communications, meetings, and company events
- Supporting managers with general HR administration and employee queries
- Assisting with performance reviews and appraisal administration
- Helping to maintain and update company HR policies and procedures
- Ensuring employee information is handled professionally and confidentially
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Have excellent organisational and time management skills
- Have strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Be confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Have previous office administration, HR administration, or accounts experience (preferred but not essential)
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills
- Be comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information
- Be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Be proactive and able to manage multiple priorities
- Have a friendly, professional, and positive attitude
- Have experience with payroll, HR systems, or employee administration (advantageous but not essential)
Hours
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am – 2:30pm
