Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation by chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Cook and assemble dishes according to established recipes and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing work surfaces, and managing waste disposal
- Support the team during busy service periods by serving food efficiently and accurately
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure all meals are prepared in a safe and sanitary manner
- Restock ingredients, utensils, and supplies as needed to keep the kitchen well-organized
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and uphold high standards of presentation
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is highly valued
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude and good communication abilities
- Basic culinary skills including meal preparation techniques such as chopping, mixing, and plating
- Willingness to follow instructions carefully and adhere to health regulations
- Serving experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for all team members
