About the Role
Axe Granite Ltd is looking for a skilled and reliable Stone Mason to join our team. We specialize in high-end stone projects, including luxury kitchens, bathrooms, wall cladding, and bespoke architectural features.
This role is a dynamic mix of workshop fabrication and on-site installation, working with a variety of premium natural and engineered stones.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication: Create high-quality stone worktops, vanity tops, and bespoke pieces using granite, marble, quartz, and porcelain.
- Technical Interpretation: Read and accurately interpret technical drawings and cutting sheets.
- Finishing: Execute precise finishing, polishing, and edge profiling to a high standard.
- Material Handling: Safely handle, load, and unload heavy stone slabs.
- Maintenance: Maintain tools, machinery, and a clean, organized workshop environment.
- Safety: Strictly adhere to all Health & Safety procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven track record as a Stone Mason or in a similar stone fabrication role.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of both natural stone and engineered materials.
- Tool Proficiency: Confident use of workshop machinery and hand tools.
- Accuracy: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality finishes.
- Logistics: Full UK driving licence (preferred).
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a professional team.
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with digital or manual templating systems.
- Previous experience working on high-end, design-led bespoke projects.
- Valid CSCS card.
