Some people prefer just routine and clear structure. Others enjoy more variety, people, and figuring things out as they go. If you’re in that second group, you’ll feel at home here.
The role
You’ll be speaking to a wide range of people, mainly school leavers figuring out their next steps, but also adults looking to train, upskill, or learn for fun across our higher education and part-time courses.
You’ll work as part of the marketing team to support how we attract and engage students across the college. In practice, a lot of your time will be spent working with local schools and supporting events, but you’ll always be part of the bigger recruitment picture.
You'll be joining a supportive team that values initiative, collaboration and fresh ideas, with the opportunity to shape and influence how recruitment activities are delivered.
What you’ll be doing
- Engaging with prospective students, parents and schools to promote the college and its opportunities
- Helping people understand their options and feel confident about their next step
- Representing the college at events, in schools, at other colleges, and on campus
- Keeping things organised behind the scenes so events run smoothly
- Working with colleagues across marketing, curriculum, and the wider college to deliver successful recruitment campaigns
- Spotting what could be improved and getting stuck in to make it better
The kind of person who does well here
- Reliable and Proactive
- Comfortable talking to anyone
- Some one that gets stuck in and works well as part of a team
- Quick to learn and apply what you pick up
