Contract Type: Part-time, Permanent. Occasional weekend and evening work required.

Stratford Town Trust’s Community Hub is a welcoming shared space at the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon. We are looking for an organised and people-focused individual to help run the Hub day-to-day, support our volunteer community and promote what we do to a wider audience.
The Community Coordinator supports the smooth running of the Hub, coordinates volunteering activity and contributes to community engagement and marketing. The role is varied and front-facing, and the postholder will be comfortable working independently, including lone working.

Key Responsibilities:
Hub Administration & Operations
- Manage room bookings from initial enquiry to the day of hire, maximising revenue while maintaining a positive experience for all users.
- Maintain the invoicing spreadsheet and liaise with the finance team on credit control.
- Handle daily admin tasks: inbox, phone and website enquiries, noticeboards and office supplies.
- Open and close the building in line with the lone working policy; act as fire warden.
- Set up rooms for hires, carry out regular inspections and report maintenance issues to the Buildings & Facilities Manager.
- Support data compliance at the Hub in line with the Trust’s GDPR policy.
Volunteer Coordination
- Recruit, induct and onboard new volunteers, including DBS and pre-recruitment checks.
- Maintain an up-to-date volunteer database tracking applications and engagement.
- Act as the day-to-day contact for volunteers, providing regular communication and support.
- Help develop the annual volunteering programme, linking activity to national campaigns and the Trust’s mission.
- Measure and report on the impact of volunteering activity at the Hub and off-site.
Community Engagement
- Support and help deliver engagement activities including family holiday workshops and the weekly Warm Welcome group.
- Assist with the coordination of community events at the Hub and off-site.
- Act as an ambassador for Stratford Town Trust in the community.
- Support work experience placements when required.
Marketing & Promotion
- Support the Communications Officer in promoting the Hub through social media, newsletters and other channels.
- Identify opportunities to reach new audiences, including local businesses and community groups.
- Contribute ideas and content for marketing materials.
- Collect case studies, photos and testimonials to showcase the Hub’s impact.
General
- Provide cover for other Hub posts during sickness and holidays.
- Attend Trust committee meetings and member events when required.
- Undertake relevant training and continuing professional development.
- Any other duties appropriate to the level of this post.
Person Specification
- Experience: Demonstrable experience of working with volunteers.
- Administration: Proven ability to manage bookings, databases, emails and general admin accurately.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging with a wide range of people.
- Organisation: Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- IT: Confident with Microsoft Office and basic database management.
- Attention to detail: Accurate and discreet when handling data and confidential information.
- Initiative: Self-motivated and comfortable working independently, including lone working.
- Customer service: Warm and professional when representing the Trust publicly.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends.
- Sector: Experience of or interest in the charity or voluntary sector.
Desirable:
- Experience in event planning or community event management.
- A practical understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
- Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults.
- First aid qualification (general or mental health).
- Familiarity with Stratford Town Trust’s mission and projects.
