Please note: This role involves lone working. Due to health and safety and safeguarding requirements, applicants must be aged 18 or over.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Food Service Assistant, you'll be helping to create a positive dining experience for students, staff and visitors by:

Supporting the preparation and service of fresh, high-quality food

Presenting food attractively and serving it to the highest standards

Assisting with basic food preparation and day-to-day kitchen operations

Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, food safety and hygiene

Receiving deliveries and ensuring stock is stored and rotated correctly

Providing a warm, professional and welcoming customer experience

Supporting school events, hospitality functions and special occasions

Assisting with portion control and helping to minimise food waste

Working closely with colleagues to ensure smooth service throughout the day

Sharing ideas that help improve service standards and enhance the dining experience

You'll Ideally Have:

A reliable and flexible approach

A commitment to maintaining high standards

Previous experience in catering, hospitality or food service (desirable but not essential)

A Food Hygiene Certificate (advantageous, although full training can be provided)

An Enhanced DBS check will be required for all successful applicants.
