The agency and the job description
Thomas Michael is an independent estate and letting agency covering the City of London and the Barbican.
The role is based in our City office close to St Paul's but a part of the role will be fulfilled out of the office undertaking viewings, letter and flyer deliveries and running errands.
The individual will take role in the sales and lettings side of business, administration, marketing and business development. Tasks will primarily involve:
- Organising and undertaking viewings;
- Producing tenancy agreements and undertaking 'right to rent' checks;
- Listing properties on the property portals;
- Delivering of letters and flyers;
- Running errands and giving access to properties; and
- Any other duties as required to assist the agency.
This is a part-time role initially for a period of approximately 2 months on a zero hour contract basis. We can likely be flexible on the amount of hours to be worked during the week but from 15 up to 18 is likely.
There is the option for this role to be extended or even turn into a fixed contract or full time position for the right individual.
What are we looking for?
You will likely be an undergraduate or postgraduate student at a London university, an undergraduate back home in London for the summer or a graduate who is looking for a part time role and experience while they are looking at career opportunities.
The role is to start in early July and last for two months until the end of August. This is a part-time role on Monday to Friday with working up until 6.30 p.m. on occasion.
Requirements
- Being organised, common sense and good time and diary management;
- A 'can do' positive approach and being responsive;
- Excellent spoken and written English;
- Prior experience in an estate or letting agency advantageous but NOT essential;
- Good computer skills being very familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel;
- Being available for work from mid-July to early August 2024 (holiday cover); and
- Driving licence NOT required.
What we will offer you?
An hourly rate of £18.
First class training, guidance and mentoring in all aspects of sales, lettings and business development will be provided by the business owner.
