Mobile Cleaner (Small Van Driver)
Location: South Hams – depots & public conveniences across the district
Hours: 4 on / 4 off shift pattern
Shifts: 9.5-hour days 6.45am - 4.30 (37 hours worked over 4 days)
Contract: Temporary / Full Time
About the Role
We are recruiting a Mobile Cleaner to support our client’s cleaning operations across South Hams. This role involves driving a small company van between sites to clean depots and public conveniences, ensuring facilities are safe, hygienic, and well-presented for staff and the public.
This is a hands-on, mobile role suited to someone reliable who is comfortable working independently and following a set route and schedule.
Main Duties
- Clean depots and public conveniences to agreed standards
- Travel between multiple sites using a small company van
- Carry out deep and routine cleaning tasks, including toilets and wash areas
- Replenish consumables and report any maintenance issues
- Safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Follow health & safety procedures at all times
- Complete basic records and updates via smartphone or device
About You
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Comfortable working to a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern
- Physically able to carry out cleaning duties
- Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean facilities
- Confident driving a small van
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to Work in the UK
- Previous cleaning experience (especially public conveniences or commercial sites)
- Local area knowledge
- Experience working in a mobile or lone-working role
