Eco Grants UK Ltd is a leading renewable energy company specialising in the installation of Solar PV, Battery Storage and domestic energy efficiency solutions throughout England.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Roofer for roof maintenance and Solar Panel Installation to join our expanding team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced roofer who is confident carrying out roof repairs, roof extensions, structural roofing work and Solar PV installations while delivering exceptional workmanship and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Install roof-mounted Solar PV systems on domestic and commercial properties.
- Install Solar PV mounting systems, roof hooks, rails and roof flashings in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Carry out roof inspections and condition surveys before installation.
- Complete roof repairs prior to Solar PV installation.
- Construct roof extensions and undertake structural roof alterations where i.e. roof extensions.
- Install and repair timber roof structures including rafters, battens and roof trusses.
- Replace roof tiles, slates, ridge tiles, lead flashings, valleys, fascia, soffits and guttering.
- Ensure all roof penetrations are fully weatherproof and comply with current Building Regulations.
- Assist with routing Solar PV cables and conduit alongside electrical installation teams.
- Support the installation of battery storage systems where required.
- Work safely at height while following all Health & Safety procedures.
- Complete installation records, photographs and customer handover documentation.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain high standards of workmanship.
Essential Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Minimum 2 years' roofing experience with NVQ level 2 or 3 Qualification.
- Proven experience in roof repairs and re-roofing.
- Experience constructing roof extensions and carrying out structural roofing works.
- Experience working on pitched and tiled roofs.
- Good understanding of roofing best practices and weatherproofing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
The following would be advantageous:
- Previous Solar PV installation experience.
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Roofing Occupations or Carpentry & Joinery.
- CSCS Card.
- Working at Height certification.
- PASMA or IPAF qualification.
- Asbestos Awareness training.
- Experience installing Solar PV mounting systems including K2, Van der Valk, Renusol or similar.
- Experience with flat roofing systems including EPDM, GRP and felt roofing.
Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
