Overview
We are looking for a reliable Processing Operative to join our processing team. You will work as part of a supportive team and rotate through a variety of tasks that keep our production running smoothly.
Duties
- Operate processing machinery and equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all health and safety protocols
- Prepare and weigh up ingredients for production, ensuring proper handling and storage
- Monitor food safety standards throughout the production process following correct procedures
- Conduct quality checks on products to ensure they meet company standards and specifications
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations (Clean as you go)
- Record production data accurately using basic math skills for inventory tracking and reporting
- Comfortable with at times lifting 25KG bags. Manual handling is a core part of this role.
- Clean the production lines during changeovers
Experience
- Previous experience in food production or manufacturing environments is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Ability to follow detailed instructions precisely and work effectively within a team
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
Pay: £29,192.30 per year
