AJT Installs are a family run, nationwide vehicle safety installation company specialising in high quality aftermarket products. Our engineers work on a wide range of fleet, plant, HGV and commercial vehicles, delivering industry leading installation standards and customer service.
Role Overview:
We’re looking for skilled Auto Electricians based around Leicester to join our growing national engineering team. We have multiple vacancies for this role. You’ll be responsible for installing and commissioning a variety of vehicle safety systems while representing AJT Installs with professionalism and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service on every job
- Maintain AJT’s reputation for quality workmanship and attention to detail
- Work independently while communicating clearly with customers and the AJT office team
- Keeping on top of your book stock and consumables
Types of installations you 'll be carrying out:
- Camera systems & CCTV
- AI human detection safety systems
- Reversing & turning alarms
- Vehicle lighting
- Trackers, immobilisers & alarms
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience installing aftermarket vehicle safety equipment
- Strong fault finding and problem solving skills
- Competent using a laptop for software setup and configuration
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Able to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team
- Willingness to travel within your region
Salary & Benefits:
- Up to £40,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
- OTE up to £45,000
- Time and a half after 48 hours (including travel time from leaving home to returning)
- 30 days holiday including bank holidays, plus an extra day per year of service (up to 8 additional days)
- Company vehicle, laptop, mobile phone & expense card
- Full AJT uniform provided
Professional Development:
As an AJT engineer, you must be able to complete the relevant IMI accreditation. AJT Installs are a proud member of The Association of Vehicle Installers (The AVI) and support engineers in maintaining the highest industry standards.
Working Hours:
- 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Optional weekend overtime available
