We are seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our team in a bustling takeaway environment. The ideal candidate will assist in meal preparation, ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and upholds high standards of food safety.
Responsibilities:
- Support the kitchen team in food preparation and cooking tasks
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area
- Help in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, such as washing and chopping
- Follow food safety guidelines and ensure compliance with hygiene regulations
- Aid in receiving and storing deliveries
- Collaborate with fryers to deliver high-quality dishes
Experience:
- Previous experience in a catering or takeway kitchen is advantageous
- Basic culinary knowledge and a passion for food preparation
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Understanding of food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team
