Job Overview
The role of Medical Receptionist is to provide comprehensive clerical support to the Practice in a reception and administrative role. It involves a high level of confidentiality and use of own initiative.
The practice opening hours are 08:00 to 18:30 Monday to Friday.
The positions will be 3 full days with various working hours of 08.00 - 17.00 and 08.00 - 18.30.
Provisional interview dates of 13th August or 17th August.
Responsibilities
- To provide and promote efficient and effective delivery of high-quality clerical support to the Primary Health Care Team
- Dealing with patients and visitors, both face to face and on the telephone
- Answering the telephone promptly, making appointments, dealing with enquiries and recording of messages for colleagues
- Recording, filing and retrieval of information
- Handling of incoming/outgoing mail, including franking
- Processing prescriptions
- Photocopying
- Dealing with general enquiries from other agencies

Person Specification
Essential
- Good standard of education (GCSE or equivalent)
- Previous experience of working in an administrative or receptionist role
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
