NRG Solar is looking for an exceptional Installations Manager to take ownership of the delivery of our rapidly growing installation programme across Solar PV, Battery Storage, Air Source Heat Pumps and Air Conditioning.
This isn't a role for someone looking to simply manage a diary. We need somebody who can run installations, manage people, solve problems, maintain standards and keep multiple projects moving simultaneously — without compromising the customer experience that has built our reputation.
We have a 5-star Google rating, and we fully intend to keep it that way. We're disrupting a rapidly growing renewable energy market and building what we believe should be the best renewable installation company in the North West.
Now we need the right person to help us deliver at scale.
THE ROLE You'll take day-to-day ownership of installation delivery across the business, working from our Warrington office and coordinating projects throughout the North West. At any one time, you could be overseeing:
- 3–5 Solar PV & Battery installations per day
- Up to 5 Air Source Heat Pump projects simultaneously
- Air Conditioning installations
- Multiple installation teams and subcontractors
- Scaffold, materials, deliveries and specialist trades
- Customer communication and installation scheduling
- Remedials, snagging and project completion
This is a high-volume, fast-moving operation. You need to know exactly what's happening, where it's happening, who's responsible and what needs to happen next. YOUR RESPONSIBILITY From the moment a project becomes ready for installation, you own the delivery. You'll be responsible for ensuring:
- Installations are properly planned before teams arrive on site
- Labour and subcontractors are correctly allocated
- Materials are ordered accurately and arrive when required
- Scaffolding and associated trades are coordinated
- Installation teams have everything required to complete first time
- Customers are kept informed throughout the process
- Problems are identified and dealt with quickly
- Remedials and snagging are prioritised and closed out
- Installation quality remains consistently exceptional
- Projects are completed efficiently and commercially
- Our reputation and customer experience are protected at all times
We don't want problems sitting on somebody's desk. We want somebody who takes ownership and gets things done. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR You must have a proven track record of successfully delivering multiple projects simultaneously.Ideally, you'll come from:Solar PV / Renewables / M&E / Electrical / Heating / HVAC / Construction Project ManagementExperience within Solar PV, Battery Storage, Air Source Heat Pumps or Air Conditioning would be a major advantage.You need to be:
- Exceptionally organised
- Commercially aware
- Technically competent
- Confident managing trades and subcontractors
- Excellent with customers
- Comfortable making decisions
- Calm when plans change
- Relentless about quality
- Strong on procurement and logistics
- Able to manage several moving projects without losing control of the detail
- Prepared to challenge poor workmanship or unacceptable standards
- Obsessed with finishing projects properly
Most importantly, you need ownership mentality. If something goes wrong, we're not interested in whose fault it was. We're interested in who is fixing it and when it will be finished.
