Job Title: System Build Operator
Team: System Build
Report To: System Build Team Leader
Purpose and Key responsibilities
- Follow engineering, wiring and schematic drawings
- Cable and Loom preparation & assembly
- The mechanical preparation and assembly of cabinet / enclosures and full box builds
- Panel wiring / assembly
- Soldering and crimping wires to connectors and PCB’s
- Ensuring all system transactions are processed through our ERP and MES systems in an accurate and timely manner.
- Any other duties requested by your manager which is within your capabilities and in the interest of the business.
Essential skills
- A good knowledge and understanding of System Build manufacturing
- Previous experience of using tools such as, crimp, wire strippers, soldering irons, Ribbon cable press, drills and tap and die.
- Previous experience of crimping and soldering
- Previous experience of different connector types and terminations such as solder bucket, crimp, panel mount, PCB mount, D type, circular, power, audio & video, data, RF interconnect, FFC/FPC etc.
- Previous experience of mechanical preparation and assembly of enclosures and full box builds
Recommended Technical Experience and Qualifications
- A good knowledge and understanding of System Build Electronic components
- Previous experience with IPC/WHMA-A-620 (preferably CIS)
- Previous experience with IPC-A-610 (preferably CIS)
- Previous experience of working with MRP/ERP systems
- Previous experience of inspecting and testing cables / looms
