Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organised Events & Bar Operations Manager to oversee the planning and execution of a diverse range of events across our London and Manchester venues. From brand activations and private dinners to large scale events both indoor and outdoors, this role is responsible for ensuring every event is delivered to a consistently high standard. Working closely with clients, suppliers and freelance teams, you will oversee event logistics, bar operations, staffing, stock management and operational delivery from planning through to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, commercial awareness and experience within hospitality, venue operations or live events. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of event operations across two leading creative venues and play a key role in their continued growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of events from enquiry through to completion
- Oversee all pre production, live event delivery and post event reset
- Manage staffing including freelance bar teams, security and cleaning
- Coordinate suppliers and ensure all logistics are in place
- Maintain high standards across every stage of delivery
- Manage event timelines to ensure all activities are completed on schedule
- Oversee on-site event operations, ensuring smooth flow and high standards of guest service
- Upsell additional services or products to maximise revenue opportunities during events
- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless event delivery
- Supervise staff involved in event setup, service, and breakdown
- Handle guest enquiries professionally and resolve any issues promptly
- Maintain detailed organisational records for each event for future reference and reporting
- Build and manage event budgets
- Monitor P and L for each event
- Ensure staffing and supplier decisions align with margin targets
- Act as the main point of contact for clients from initial enquiry through to delivery
- Build strong relationships and ensure a smooth client experience
- Handle high expectation clients with professionalism and discretion
- Maintain relationships with brands, agencies and planners
- Support conversion of inbound enquiries
- Conduct targeted outreach where appropriate
Experience
- Event Operations: 3 years (required)
- Venue Operations: 2 years (preferred)
- Staff Management / Team Leadership: 2 years (required)
- Budget Management / P&L Responsibility: 1 year (required)
- Stock Control & Ordering: 1 year (required)
- Proven experience in event operations manahospitality management, including roles within restaurants or hotels is highly desirable
- Demonstrated success in organising and managing events or similar functions
- Strong skills in upselling and increasing revenue through effective sales techniques
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Organisational skills that enable multitasking across multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in guest services
- Effective communication skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and team members clearly and professionally

Pay: £38,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
