Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation and kitchen organisation, supporting our chefs to deliver high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. This role offers valuable experience in catering, cooking, and food safety within a professional restaurant setting.
Duties
- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, peeling, and basic cooking tasks
- Support the cooking team with food assembly and plating
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen surfaces and equipment
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Help with the storage of ingredients and supplies, ensuring proper labelling and rotation
- Assist in serving meals to customers or staff as required
- Support with general kitchen duties such as washing dishes, utensils, and cleaning kitchen areas
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe working environment
Experience
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food preparation is desirable but not essential
- Familiarity with kitchen environments and food safety standards is advantageous
- Experience in meal preparation, cooking, or culinary roles will be beneficial
- Knowledge of serving procedures and maintaining hygiene standards is preferred
- Enthusiasm for learning new skills within a professional kitchen setting is highly valued
