Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable General Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of outdoor and indoor tasks, supporting landscape maintenance, construction, and general upkeep activities. This role offers an opportunity to develop practical skills across multiple disciplines, including horticulture, gardening, and machinery operation. The ideal applicant will be proactive, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to the successful completion of projects.
Duties
- Assisting with landscape maintenance tasks such as demolition, levelling, digging and more.
- Operating hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment such as excavators and irrigation systems
- Supporting construction activities including site preparation, material handling, and basic assembly
- Performing routine maintenance on tools and machinery to ensure optimal functionality
- Digging trenches, moving materials, and assisting with excavation work as required
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment by clearing debris and ensuring safety standards are met
- Assisting with horticultural tasks such as planting flowers or shrubs and caring for garden beds
- Supporting team members with various labour-intensive activities across different projects
Experience
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance, gardening or horticulture is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for specific tasks
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and basic machinery such as excavators is desirable
- Experience in construction or general labouring roles will be considered an asset
- Ability to operate irrigation systems and perform routine maintenance on equipment is a plus
- Good physical fitness with the ability to undertake manual labour for extended periods
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills in a dynamic environment
