About the RoleWe are looking for a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Assistant to join our team. Working alongside the Maintenance Manager, you will help keep our property, facilities, and guest areas running smoothly, looking sharp, and maintained to a high standard.Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with day-to-day planned and reactive maintenance tasks across the site.
- Basic plumbing repairs (fixing minor leaks, clearing blockages, replacing tap washers/fittings).
- Basic electrical tasks (replacing light fittings, bulbs, fuses, and minor fault-finding).
- General cosmetic upkeep, including painting, decorating, and minor patch repairs.
- Assisting with general site checks, minor carpentry, and routine preventative maintenance.
What We’re Looking For
- Practical skills in basic plumbing, electricals, painting, and general repairs.
- Experience in a similar maintenance role or a dedicated, capable DIY enthusiast looking to turn practical skills into a steady role.
- Strong problem-solving attitude with good attention to detail.
- A proactive, reliable work ethic and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexibility to cover occasional weekend shifts when required.
Working Hours & Schedule
- 24 hours per week (3 days a week, 8 hours per day).
- Shift patterns discussed at interview, with occasional weekend availability required.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
