Overview
We are seeking a reliable Part Time Warehouse Operative on a temporary contract to join our busy logistics team. This role involves supporting daily warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth handling of materials, and maintaining high standards of safety and organisation. The ideal candidate will be proactive, physically fit, and eager to contribute to an efficient warehouse environment. Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers flexible hours suitable for individuals seeking part-time work with opportunities for skill development.
Responsibilities
- Handling materials efficiently, including loading and unloading goods from lorries and storage areas
- Picking and packing orders accurately for dispatch, ensuring quality standards are met
- Organising stock through stocking shelves and maintaining a tidy storage environment
- Assisting with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and labelling
- Performing heavy lifting tasks safely as required for the movement of goods within the warehouse
- Supporting general warehouse duties such as cleaning work areas and maintaining safety protocols
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for all necessary equipment and systems
- Familiarity with materials handling, picking & packing, and stock management is beneficial
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently, demonstrating good physical fitness
- A proactive attitude towards safety procedures and team collaboration is essential for success in this role

Monday, Tuesday 7-4
Wednesday 7-11
Pay: £12.71-£12.99 per hour
