Role Overview
As Care Team Leader you will lead and support the day care team, ensuring residents receive exceptional, person-centred care in a safe, compassionate and well-managed environment. You will oversee all aspects of care throughout the day, ensuring residents' individual needs, preferences and wellbeing remain at the heart of everything you do.
You will supervise, mentor and develop the day team while providing hands-on support when required. You will oversee care planning, medication management, clinical documentation and quality assurance, ensuring records remain accurate and compliant with regulatory standards. You will monitor residents' physical and emotional wellbeing, respond appropriately to changes in condition and work closely with healthcare professionals to coordinate high-quality care.
Working alongside the Home Manager, you will contribute to admissions, recruitment, audits, investigations and service improvements while ensuring the home remains fully compliant with CQC regulations, Health & Safety, safeguarding, infection prevention and company policies. You will promote a positive team culture, carry out supervisions and appraisals, and provide effective leadership throughout the day.
The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends. The working pattern will be 6 on one week and 4 on the next. The shift patterns vary and will be 7-3, 10-6 and 1-9.
What We Are Looking For

Previous experience in a care home management or senior leadership role.

NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (essential).

Strong leadership skills with experience supervising, mentoring and developing care teams.

Sound knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, care planning and person-centred care.

Experience managing medication, care records and quality assurance processes.

Confident carrying out audits, investigations and maintaining regulatory compliance.

Excellent communication, organisation and record-keeping skills.

Experience using electronic care planning or medication systems such as PCS and eMAR is desirable.

Basic budget awareness and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
