Homeleigh Garden Centre Launceston is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team on a full-time basis, working five days per week. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our customers, staff, and visitors across the garden centre. Days of work will be Wednesday - Sunday, 6 hours per day. 8am starts currently (Mon - Sat), with flexibility to start at 9am where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain all customer and staff areas, including shop floors, toilets and some staff areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitise surfaces to a high standard.
- Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Clean windows, doors, and other high-touch surfaces.
- Replenish cleaning supplies and restroom consumables as required.
- Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or damaged equipment to management and maintenance team.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Assist with additional cleaning duties during busy periods or special events as required.
Skills and Experience
- Previous commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not essential.
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining excellent standards.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Physically capable of performing manual cleaning duties, including lifting, bending, standing, and walking throughout the day.
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute as part of the Homeleigh team.
