Directorate
The role sits within Finance, Planning and Performance, in the Data Governance & Systems team. This area plays a critical role in ensuring the quality, integrity, and effective use of data and systems across the University, supporting decision-making, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement through optimised systems, configuration and automation.
What you will be doing:
This is a key role within the Data Governance & Systems team, responsible for the effective management, development and continuous improvement of the University’s Finance, HR and Payroll ERP systems.
You will:
- Lead the day-to-day functional management of the University’s ERP systems, ensuring they are reliable, well-configured and aligned to business needs
- Provide expert advice on ERP functionality, workflows and best practice to colleagues across Finance, HR and Professional Services
- Oversee system configuration, upgrades, testing and change processes, working closely with IT Services to ensure robust and controlled delivery
- Manage core system data structures, including organisational hierarchies, financial controls and workflow approvals, ensuring accuracy and consistency
Qualifications/ experience:
- Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline such as business, finance, HR, or information systems
- Significant experience working with ERP systems (Finance and/or HR) in a large or complex organisation
- Experience of system configuration, workflows, data structures and business process support within ERP environments
- Strong understanding of Finance operational processes (e.g. payroll, budgeting, procurement)
